Your EIN letter from the IRS doesn't say whether you're a single-member LLC, an S-corp, or something else. Your state's business registry does. Pick your state below.
While you're there
Check the spelling of your legal name exactly as the state has it, including suffixes like LLC or Inc. That name has to match your EIN letter character for character when we register you for business texting. A mismatch is the single most common reason registrations get rejected.
Not sure if you're a single-member LLC?
If you're the only owner on the paperwork, you're a single-member LLC. If there's a partner or co-owner, it's multi-member. If you never formed an LLC at all and just work under your own name, you're a sole proprietor.
